You all must have prayed last night because I woke up with much better knee and only a little swelling. The brace is really helpful for my meniscus problem so it felt good all day! As I lay on my bed right now it is still a little swollen but feels good. I had a long but good day.
It’s amazing how much your attitude can improve when you’re not in pain. And how tunneled your vision can become when you are in pain.
The hike today was rolling hills through farmland and very pretty. See pics on Insta or Fb. I took the scenic route, same distance but through the outskirts rather than directly through small towns. It was peaceful and lovely. One delightful treat was a food truck in the middle of a 6 mile nothing. It’s provided by a family that has a restaurant in town. They see it a ministry and I can tell you it ministered to me! I was needing a break, a snack, and nowhere else in sight.
Tonight I’m in Los Arcos, a small town of about 1200. I’m in a room w 4 beds so that’s nice again. Last night I had the same situation and there was running water outside my window. So I slept w windows open and the sound of water all night. Glorious!
For my Georgetown peeps, I see poppies everywhere!! They are growing wild and I have seen some every single day. It’s like my little reminder of all of you. They make me smile every time. Thanks for your love and support on this journey.
Tonight I’m hoping to get a good meal and go to bed early for an early start tomorrow.
SOOOOOO glad you had a better day!! And so cool that you see “us” (poppies) everywhere!! That is very heartwarming as we think of you and pray for you, that you are thinking of us as well-even being that far away!! Sending love and hugs!!
Praying for you, Tina. Thank you so much for taking us along with you with your writing. 🙏♥️
Of course we your readers are praying for you. So, glad those prayers are being answered. We want you to have this experience AND we readers of you blogs enjoy reading them. Travel well, friend.
So glad your knee has improved. Prayers for recovery and peaceful journey:
Tina, the previous post concerning your aches was a concern for your safety, and your help at the pharmacy was a “little miracle”. It helped you to realize the power of pain. It’s wonderful to be able to enjoy the countryside, and we hope you meet up with more pilgrims soon. Our prayer for you today: “Lord, help Tina survive the walk today by giving her relief from the knee pain. Please give her the courage to continue on even through temporary loneliness.”
We believe in you.
We support you.
We applaud you.
So glad your knee is better ! Prayers were answered & you sound much better, too. Take one day at a time, enjoy the scenery, let the Lord provide.
Thank you God for Tina getting a good nights rest and lifting her body out of some pain!!
We are praying for you and those poppies growing all over are definitely a reminder for you! You are spoiling us each day with your messages. Each day I start looking at my phone after lunch- praying you had time to drop us all a message about your day. I love seeing your world and hearing about your experiences! ❤️
Praying for your continued strength and good spirits. Strong knees and one mile at a time. Blessings.
So thankful you had a better day! Isn’t it amazing how God places people in our paths to minister to us? We will pray today in Friendship Class for you! 🥰
Nina
I really enjoy reading about your camino! I’m making a commitment to read all your posts (although not on the day you upload them). I know it takes time and energy to write each day, and I appreciate the gift you are giving each of us by sharing.
Glad things are going better. Know that prayers are still coming your way.
Blessings, Rita
Praise Him your knee is better and for lovely scenery, a food truck and a comfortable place to stay. When you are doing what you are doing creature comforts are appreciated so much more than we appreciate them normally. Your walk is inspirational as are your authentic posts about it. Prayers.
